Cody's 16th – Finally Gets His License!!!!

Posted on October 30, 2009 with No Comments

 Oct 22 - 16th Bday
To all of you outthere on the roads, be it known that Cody now has his license. Mechelle and I are excited, but at the same time very nervous that our oldest child is driving.

We are having his party tonight! He wanted to have a big rock and roll fest. We have the Dirty Guv’nahs coming to the house at 9pm. We should have a lot of fun, and even a few of us old people dressed up in our halloween suits!

See you there!

A Much-Needed Mountain Getaway

Posted on October 29, 2009 with No Comments

the teamI spent last week, along with the CMSS management team, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, participating in the CMSS Corporate Leadership Forum. We stayed in a  10-bedroom cabin, loaded with a theater room, games, Jacuzzis on every floor, and, of course, spectacular mountain views from all sides! Our guys flew in from our offices in San Antonio, Afghanistan, and Washington D.C.

The week couldn’t have turned out to be more fruitful. We laid the foundation for the new CMSS Corporate Ethos; updated our Vision statement, and even spent some time with our law firm focusing and learning about our new Ethics policy. 2010 has so much to offer, and our awesome people are focused, and energized to capture new opportunities.

LexLin Ranch Open House: A Huge Success!

Posted on October 1, 2009 with No Comments

Thank you to all participants, guests, and volunteers for making LexLin’s 1st Open House a big hit! Without the hard work of the staff and friends our 1st Open House would have been nothing more than a great idea. It brought new visitors to LexLin, who along with breeders and friends, got to meet our horses, tour our ranch and learned about our mission.  Attendees throughout the day enjoyed activities, food, viewed our first “Mare/Foal and Stallion Parade” as well as Ranch tour. We were excited Tom Price was able to attend from Wales. Check back periodically for new pictures. Thank you again to all who helped make this a wonderful day! Check us out at www.gogypsy.com

We have been bombarded with requests to do it again; in fact we’re already planning the next one in the fall 2010. Here is an example of some of the comments we have received.

Just a quick note to tell you how impressive the new LexLin horse ranch operation is. We had a good time at the grand opening and found Eric and Mechelle to be thoroughly delightful and genuine. They will certainly add to the image of Grand Vista Bay with a very classy operation. Very warm and nice people and it will be interesting to follow their development of the operation with their splendid horses”.
