Business Owners Benefits Association (BOBA) and staff are gearing up for their upcoming sponsorship and support of the long-awaited Smoky Mountain Air Show on April 16-17 at McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville, TN.
BOBA, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned national membership-based association headquartered in Blount County, offers solutions to small business owners, nonprofit leaders and municipalities who are interested in reducing costs, controlling risk and staying on top of compliance issues associated with operating their business or organization. BOBA’s value added solutions include credit card payment processing, payroll administration, energy savings, 360° insurance solutions, fuel and fleet management and legal services.
The Air Show sponsorship was a perfect fit for President and CEO Eric W. Barton, a retired U.S. Marine, and his family of companies. Consistently giving back to veterans, their families and veteran organizations and causes to benefit veterans, Barton said he believes the air show will not only honor our veterans but also serve as a patriotic salute to the military and the warfighter across foreign and domestic ground.
“As a retired U.S. Marine, I couldn’t be more proud to honor our nation’s military personnel than through the 2016 Smoky Mountain Air Show,” Barton said. “I hope that this event will enlighten our children and families across East Tennessee on just how precise and heroic our troops are across our blessed nation.”
During the two-day event, BOBA and its sister companies will have colleagues and dignitaries join them as their guests for the event. BOBA sales and support staff will also be on hand to speak with community members and small business owners about the comprehensive services offered to members and BOBA’s proven results across industries, ranging from restaurants and parts suppliers to churches and municipalities.
The air show will be the first aviation event to grace Knoxville skies in more than a decade. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will be performing as the signature military demonstration act for the air show, among other aviation performing acts such as the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team, Jacquie Warda, the multi-role fighter aircraft the F-16 and aerobatic performer Greg Koontz.
More than 20 static displays, including various historic WWII aircraft, fighter jets and more, will be on display. The legendary Budweiser Clydesdales will also make an appearance during the show.
In addition to sponsoring the air show, BOBA is always dedicated to its municipality members, such as Knoxville’s McGhee Tyson Airport and Downtown Island Airport. BOBA helps these and other nonprofit organizations and municipalities through its nonprofit division called Community Benefits Advisors (CBA). BOBA and CBA were created to unite the millions of small businesses and nonprofits across the U.S., the backbone of the U.S. economy, and give them the leveraged buying power enjoyed by many large corporations.
