U.S. Marine Corps veteran-owned Vanquish Logistics announced today the expansion of its transportation operations in the Nashville region, expanding from its corporate headquarters in Maryville, TN to a 10-acre facility in Lebanon, TN.
The new prime operational space, on the Interstate 40 corridor, is centrally located across its customer base coast to coast, resulting in cost savings not only for its customers but also for the thriving short haul, regional operation. The move also helps Vanquish Logistics build upon its short haul customer base within a 270-mile radius of Middle Tennessee, which is home to one of the most vibrant and growing cities in the Southeast.
“We are already supporting 42 percent of FedEx Ground operations in the Nashville regional terminal by managing daily pickup and delivery (P&D) routes,” Vanquish Logistics President and CEO Dr. Eric W. Barton said. “This expansion just made sense for our operations. With this transition, we are poised to increase support to current and future customers.”
Vanquish Logistics is a short haul model with regional capacity, providing asset-based transportation and logistics services across the U.S. and Canada by utilizing the highest quality equipment, drivers and transportation specialists, solid in-house CDL training and proven operating procedures from years of transport and logistics experience.
Vanquish Logistics has expanded to over 450 customers coast to coast in its first three years of business, and the company is poised to close 2016 with over 5 million road miles utilizing over 115 fleet assets, including dry van, flatbed and step deck, supporting various types and sizes of freight.
Over the past several months, Vanquish Logistics has won multiple contracts valued in excess of $2-$3 million dollars each, including work with Nissan, Lamtech, National Logistics and Carlex Glass America.
“With several years under our belt, we have truly poised ourselves to Deliver Excellence to our customers and to drastically improve our profit margins,” Jon Helpingstine, Vice President of Operations, said.
Longtime truck drivers Pete and Christine Carpenter also join the operations team in Lebanon, adding years of driving and transportation experience to the staff. During their years running their business, PAC Trucking, the duo received several awards of excellence, including FedEx Ground entrepreneur awards for three years and an Award of Excellence for running 8 million miles without an accident.
“Safety, our employees and customer satisfaction is our No. 1 priority,” Pete Carpenter, Commercial Transportation and Fleet Manager, said.
“At Vanquish, we are committed to Delivering Excellence to our customers,” Barton said. “We will do anything in our power to make sure that our customers receive the very best service using the best equipment and for the most competitive price possible.”
“With the move, we were able to cut down mileage, which saves us money and in turn saves money for our clients,” he added. “It is a win-win situation for all.”
